Beaches
Guests have the luxury of being less than a 3 minute walk to one of Cornwall’s finest beaches when on their holiday in Rock. Porthilly is just a stone’s throw from Rock and all the activities that the Camel estuary has to offer. Rock is renowned as one of the major water-sport centres in Cornwall – sailing, windsurfing, water skiing, canoeing and rowing are all activities which can be carried out in the relatively calm waters of the estuary.
If you fancy keeping your feet on solid ground, walk onto the coastal path which leads around the golden sand dunes to Daymer Bay, Polzeath, Pentire Point and beyond.

We highly recommend you taking the water taxi from Rock (just down the road from Porthilly) over to the famous fishing village of Padstow.
This will save you 45 minutes compared to if you drove, and you can take in the beautiful views of the estuary. Crossings every 10-15 mins.
